Things to do
The North York Moors has over 1,400 miles of footpaths so there are plenty of different walks to choose from. If you’re starting at The Cleveland Tontine, then you could try a section of the Lyke Wake Walk which begins just north of Osmotherly or the Cleveland Way which both take in some simply breath-taking scenery.

The North Yorkshire Moors is a fantastic location for cycling whether you’re a road cyclist or mountain biker. There are miles of country roads, bridleways, forest tracks and disused railways as well as the skills area and world mountain bike championship routes in Dalby Forest and the new award-winning Newbridge Park in Pickering.

There are a number of places to ride in the area including Kirklevington Riding Centre. Lessons are available 7 days a week for beginners to the more advanced rider or explore the beautiful countryside on a hack. 8 miles

Romanby’s championship standard golf course offers wide open fairways surrounded by trees and lakes.
